At Aston Engineering, we are the only specialists to have built Aston Martin engines which have won the most prestigious historic races. Amongst these victories include the Spa 6-hours, Goodwood Revival RAC Tourist Trophy and Silverstone RAC Tourist Trophy. This unrivalled knowledge that we have gained, has also helped us in developing our standard and fast road engines, for ultimate drivability, reliability and efficiency.
As we have our own machinery and every aspect of a rebuild is done in-house, we are able to keep our prices competitive without compromising on quality. We are also an official supplier of new genuine Aston Martin 6 cylinder engine blocks.
Our extensive in-house facility also includes a dynamometer that allows us to fully run-in, set-up and power test each engine to maximise performance, reliability and efficiency.

DB4, DB4GT & Zagato
This 3.7 litre engine is most commonly rebuilt by us to 4.2 or 4.7 litre for road cars. The standard DB4 cylinder head can be re-worked in-house to increase airflow/performance, and this can also be achieved with the twin plug DB4GT cylinder head. Further enhancements include the fitment of a fully-counterweighted billet crankshaft and H-beam forged con-rods together with forged performance pistons. Other options include items such as, an upgrade to the ignition system from the original points to contactless electronic. Our full race specification DB4GT engines have won countless races and have been fitted to cars such as Project 212 and several well-known DB4GTs and Lightweight race cars.
DB5, DB6 & DBS6
This 4 litre engine is most commonly rebuilt by us to 4.2 or 4.7 litre capacity. As above we can carry out many enhancements to significantly improve this engine.

Aston Martin V8
This 5.3 litre capacity Aston Martin V8 engine is most commonly rebuilt by us to 5.6 or 6.1 litre capacity. From our 30+ years of road and track engine development, we conclude that in our opinion 6.1 litre achieves excellent overall drivability and reliability.
Combined with the increased capacity, we have also developed cylinder head enhancements for increased airflow and can provide upgrades to the original camshaft profile. Early engines fitted with the Bosch mechanical fuel injection can retain this system (even with a larger capacity) or they can be discreetly converted to a mapped electronic fuel injection system. Later carburettor cars can also benefit from improved exhaust manifolds and our in-house cylinder head enhancements.
Recent engine rebuilds have included the conversion of a US specification V8 engine to European spec and even a full race spec V8 engine fitted to the ex Robin Hamilton Le Mans 'Muncher'.
