1983 V8 VOLANTE FOR SALE
Launched in 1978, the V8 Volante followed the contemporary V8 Saloon but featured the lowered bonnet bulge without an opening, soon to be used on the Oscar India saloon and Vantage models. Other features included the revised sills and windscreen pillars to give overall rigidity, whilst the interior featured polished burr walnut trim and a power operated hood, covered in Everflex.
This car is one of just 202 original LHD Automatic examples out of a total production of 441 cars.
Built to European specification and supplied new on the 2nd September 1983, the car was delivered to an Arabian Client at his hotel residence (Hotel de Paris) in Monte-Carlo. The car later that year was brought back to England and registered in the UK. Changing hands in 2001, the car was imported and registered in Germany and was purchased by the current owner in 2008.
Presented today in Dark Green with Magnolia trim and a contrasting Black Everflex hood, the car benefits from a recent full engine rebuild by Aston Engineering to 5.6Ltr specification, together with an overhaul of the automatic gearbox and steering rack assembly.
Included with the car is a detailed history file containing the original build sheet/heritage certificate together with owner’s handbook.
