1964 Aston Martin DB5 for Sale

Thanks to a certain Secret Agent, the Aston Martin DB5 needs no introduction. It is undoubtedly the most famous and recognisable Aston Martin of all time. Announced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1963, production of this new model ran from July 1963 until September 1965. In that time, just 898 of these iconic coupes were produced.

The build of this particular DB5 was completed on the 22nd October 1964 and according to the original Aston Martin factory build sheet, the vehicle was supplied via H.W.Motors to a D.F.Abert Esq of Hastings, Sussex. Finished in Sierra Blue with Red Vaumol trim, looking through the history file, it can be seen that this matching numbers example was maintained by AML works until 1969 when it had covered some 24,798 miles.

The car was then purchased on the 15th May 1973 from Blacklands Garage (Hastings) Ltd with the original sales invoice showing it displayed the registration number ‘CPO 603B’ and was finished in Dark Blue. From this point, the car was kept under long term ownership as part of the family over the next 46 years and was maintained but preserved as a real time warp example.

In 2019, Aston Engineering Ltd undertook a sympathetic recommissioning of the car for its current owner totalling some £75,000. Additional extra specified by its current owner included electric power steering and Borrani wire wheels.

To conclude, this is an opportunity to purchase a 3 owners from new DB5, presented today in its factory colour combination with beautiful patina to the original red leather interior.

Ready to be used and enjoyed this summer.
