1983 V8 Volante

Presented today in its original colour combination of Buckinghamshire Green with Fawn leather piped in Green, matching carpets and a contrasting Fawn Mohair hood.

Having covered just over 20,000 miles by 1988, the car returned to Aston Martin Works for an upgrade to Vantage engine specification together with upgraded full flow oil cooler system, Vantage suspension, road wheels and front valance. Further extensive work included attention to the mechanical, bodywork and interior of the car between 2009/2010 by a well known Aston Martin Heritage specialist.

Launched in 1978 and in production until 1986, a mere 441 cars were manufactured. The V8 Volante followed the contemporary V8 Saloon but featured the lowered bonnet bulge without an opening, soon to be used on the Oscar India saloon and Vantage models. Other features included the revised sills and windscreen pillars to give overall rigidity whilst the interior featured polished burr walnut trim and a power operated hood.

This extremely well maintained matching numbers, original ZF manual example, is now displaying just over 44,000 miles. Included is a detailed history file containing the original build sheet, extensive past invoices together with the owner’s handbook.
